Jakarta –
A video has circulated showing the sophistication of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology which is able to imitate the face and voice of a bank officer via video call. This technology is said to be a method of fraud that harms people with cheap capital, namely US$ 5-6 per month.
In the video, a man can be seen carrying out a simulation using this technology. Within five seconds, her face changed drastically into the figure of a female bank employee complete with uniform. Not only the face, the movements of the lips and the intonation of the voice also follow the screen of the telephone receiver.
PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) immediately spoke up. EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F Haryn said that until now his party had not received any reports of customer losses due to this fraudulent method.
