Iran Attacks Amazon and Oracle Data Centers, Google and YouTube Next

TEHERAN – On April 3, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had carried out attacks targeting the information infrastructure of American technology companies.

According to information from state news agencies IRNA and Tasnim, the targets of this attack were Amazon’s cloud computing center in Bahrain and Oracle’s database in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The IRGC asserted that this was in direct retaliation for the US and Israeli attack on the home of former Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi in Tehran on April 1, which killed his wife and seriously injured himself.

Iran is now targeting technology companies in response to actions taken by the US and Israel.

Iran claims that Amazon’s data center in Bahrain was completely destroyed in the attack. They emphasized that they had previously warned they would target American technology companies if military action against Iran’s leadership did not stop.
