JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Head of the Karo District Prosecutor’s Office (Kajari) Danke Rajagukguk admitted that there was a writing error in the official letter regarding the suspension of detention of videographer Amsal Christy Sitepu.
The mistake was the use of the term “arrest diversion” instead of “detention delay”.
Danke made this confession when answering the Chairman’s question Commission III DPR Habiburokhman in a meeting at Commission III DPR RI, on Thursday (2/4/2026), regarding the polemic regarding the handling of the case Sitepu Proverbs.
“Ready, sir. Regarding the notification regarding the transfer of the defendant’s detention Amsal Christy Sitepu cannot be implemented, the defendant has already left. Leadership permission, a letter that we wrote regarding notification of the transfer determination. “Ready for permission, the diversion is written incorrectly, leader,” said Danke.
“It’s wrong, ma’am, isn’t it?” Habiburokhman asked.
“Ready to be wrong,” answered Danke.
When asked whether the mistake was intentional, Danke denied it.
“Ready is indeed the wrong person to type the leader,” he said.
However, this answer actually sparked surprise from Habiburokhman.

He questioned whether the chief prosecutor did not carry out checks before signing the official letter.
“Are you signing the check or not? You’re a teacher, you should understand that the two things are different,” stressed Habiburokhman.
“Ready, leader, ready to be wrong leader. Ready leader, ready to be wrong leader,” answered Danke.
DPR highlights the difference between “diversion” and “suspension”
In the midst of the discussion, Habiburokhman highlighted the basic difference between the terms “transfer of detention” and “suspended detention”.
He asked the secretariat team to present two documents, namely the determination from the Medan District Court and a letter from the Karo Prosecutor’s Office.
In court documents, the panel of judges clearly granted the DPR’s request to suspend Amsal’s detention.
