jabar.jpnn.comBANDUNG CITY – Heavy rain accompanied by wind pounded Bandung City on Friday (3/4/2026), causing trees to fall in several areas.
The Bandung City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that up to 14.00 WIB, there were 23 fallen trees.
Currently, officers are working to evacuate fallen trees and vehicles that hit them.
Head of the Bandung City BPBD, Didi Ruswandi, said that the incidents of fallen trees were on Jalan Cibolerang – Ciparay District, Jalan Kopo, Jalan Pajajaran – Cicendo District, Jalan dr Djundjunan – Sukajadi District, Jalan Halte Utara – Andir District, Jalan Sukajadi – Gegerkalong District, Jalan Taman Cibeunying – Bandung Wetan District, and Jalan Pak Gatot Raya – Gegerkalong.
“Then, on Jalan Bima – Cicendo, Jalan Ovten – Sukaraja, Jalan Hegarmanah – Cidadap, Jalan Srigunting Timur – Maleber, Jalan Cijerah Raya, Jalan Pagarsih,” said Didi, in his statement.
Meanwhile, it was reported that there were casualties in the fallen tree incident that occurred in the Setiabudi area.
The fallen trees occurred at six points, including Jalan Setiabudi, precisely in front of the Padasuka Hotel, Jalan Kencana in front of the Arjuna Hotel, in front of the Art Deco Hotel, Jalan Gunung Batu, and in front of Hegarmanah Square.
“There was one victim who was hit by fallen tree material in front of the Sayuli Hotel,” said Cidadap Police Chief Commissioner Rudhi Gindriansyah.
The city of Bandung was surrounded by fallen trees due to heavy rain accompanied by torrential winds from Friday afternoon to evening.
